The names of the 4 guesthouses encapsulate the identity of Namur and illustrate the warm welcome and particular charm of the old town of Namur.
La caracole This snail is the emblem of the town, referring to the renowned local accent that drawls over every syllable. The little animal’s slowness perfectly sums up the gentleness and quality of life in Namur.
The snail is also the building’s symbol, which is why the name refers to all 4 guesthouses.
Li bia bouquet The Namur anthem in Walloon dialect. Written by Nicolas Bosret in 1856, it celebrates love and the festive spirit so enjoyed by the namurois.
Le confluent The pearl of Namur, the symbol of an encounter, born of the love for the Rivers Sambre and Meuse.
La citadelle The city’s lush green jewel that has lived 2000 years of the town’s history first hand, now a peaceful haven.
